More Than Just Another Consulting Firm

Company Information

I am Dr. Pamela Chambers, DNP, EJD, CRNA, FAANA and I am the owner of Pamela Chambers Consulting. I’ve combined the cost-effective resources of legal nurse consulting with advanced practice clinical nursing knowledge, formal doctoral preparation, and a formal law degree (with a concentration in health law).

As such, I am more than capable of assisting legal professionals in case review, case analysis, and preparation without the high cost of other health care consultants. I also provide standard of care identification and services as an expert witness for anesthesia and/or nursing matters. Additionally, I assist health care professionals with:

  • Anesthesia Peer Review
  • Outcomes Optimization
  • Peri-operative Anesthesia Quality Outcomes Improvement
  • Quality and Risk Management

I also provide clinical presentations and lectures, and answer medical-legal questions related to each client’s specific situation. Improving outcomes may increase reimbursement under the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)—a value-based program. I can help you and your team improve clinical/patient care outcomes, from needs analysis and measurement to interventions and improvement application.

In addition, I assist health care consumers (patients) with understanding the legal process and procedures. I translate medical-legal jargon into easy-to-understand language so you and your attorney/health care provider can make the decision for your situation.

Contact me to get started. Once I receive your inquiry, I will develop a response tailored to your specific needs. For maximum convenience and discretion, everything can be handled online.

Mission and Vision Statement

Mission: To be the singular expert for anesthesia, nursing, and perioperative events who can help you form your negligence case or defend your client in the most cost-effective manner.

Vision: To be known as the trusted expert for provider practice, quality, and clinical outcomes for anesthesia professionals as well as legal and organizational entities.

About me

I graduated with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) after completing my capstone: Implementation of a quality measures trigger tool in a private practice anesthesia group. I earned my Executive Juris Doctor (JD) with a Health Law concentration from the Concord Law School at Purdue University.

I am also a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a Masters in the Science of Nursing (MSN) in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Additionally, I earned my Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from the University of Arizona in Tucson. I am also a US Army veteran with 18 years of service, achieving a rank of Major in the US Army Nurse Corps.

I’ve been a nurse since 1994 and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since 2000. I have combined my clinical expertise (practicing all over the country and internationally) with formal legal preparation to establish my own consulting firm.

As a health law consultant, I’ve provided various services, such as expert witness and standard of care review and consultation for attorneys; as well as information on the ever-changing legislative and regulatory impact on health care professionals for my clinical clients.

As one of a handful of specially selected health care clinicians, I used to deliver clinical lectures and webinars on behalf of Eisai Pharmaceuticals as a subject matter expert clinical provider for Lusedra. I also served as a primary instructor for Kaplan University’s certificate program for legal nurse consulting.

I continue my practice in clinical anesthesia.  However, I am also an Assistant Professor in the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  My past volunteer activities have included:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as an Instructor for 15 Years
  • Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) – Steering Committee Member and the first Program Director for Nurse Anesthesia Education for the Nurse Anesthesia Overseas Program in Eritrea
  • National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) two terms on the Board of Directors, and the first director elected to the board.
  • Item Writing Committee and Standards Setting Committee for the NBCRNA
  • Wellspring United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas – Board of Trustees
  • Dallas VA Medical Center – Clinical Adjunct Faculty in Nurse Anesthesia Education
  • Invited presenter for LAUNCHAugusta mentoring program to high schoolers interested in STEM careers
  • And many other mentoring opportunities and nationwide presentations on anesthesia and nursing professional practice topics

I continue to lecture CRNAs nationwide regarding current anesthesia practice matters.
